Halloween Hangover

Got your attention didn't it :P

No, I don't have a hangover. Just having one of "those" days. Started out with the Diva having a melt down over a tuna sandwich. Don't ask....it's not worth it. Got to school to find out that two more cases of the Whooping Cough have shown up....Yes, I feel like Typhoid Mary right now. I hope they don't make a big deal out of it, but I may not have my wish come true on that one. We're not at an epidemic, but they may have to take precautions.

Halloween Night brought 10 pounds of candy to our house. In the past we'd have one bowl after we take out the forbidden candies. Last night, we had two bowls brimming to the top when I finished. The weather brought out a lot of kids in the neighborhood. Didn't know we had so many.  Fenway took me for a drag....only way to describe it.

People were telling me to get her a pinching color ( :S ) a gentle leader and doggy school. I agree with the doggy school, looking at that this weekend.  But the pinching color?  I'll  have to ask the experts at petsmart about that.

We're now in November and the countdown to the holidays has begun. Turkey day is at my parents, a very quiet affair I'm sure.  Diva and Son have each handed in a 2 page list for Santa. I'm sure you know that Diva's is completely Hannah Montana and HSM'd out.  Sons I haven't looked at.  I needed a day to recover from Diva's.

I decided that less will be more in the gift giving. I've decided that the kids will make gifts for grandparents, godparents etc.  Teachers will get cookies...I'm going to do my grandmother's forgotten cookies.  Hubs knows I'm trying to get a ticket to AZ for Superbowl weekend for him. He can visit with the two newest family girls....Aislinn and Madeleine.  So I'm off to check flights ... AGAIN.

Madeleine Clare

arrived today via c-section at 1:10 pm, after being bumped twice for emergency c-sections : one was a 26 week birth and the other a mommy had fallen and I'm assuming her placenta abrupted.
She weighed 7lbs 4 oz and is 19 and some inches long LOL.
I hear she is just beautiful and Amy is doing pretty well herself too.
Welcome Madeleine Clare!! We can't wait to meet you!

I now have 8 neices and nephews - 4 of each :)

Madeleine is beautiful - she is now the background pic on my laptop and I look forward to meeting her and my other new neice Aislinn Elizabeth.......and I LOVE shopping for girls...so does the Diva.

BOSTON - There's more than one way to rough up the Rockies.

Boston's big bats battered them in the World Series opener. Then October ace Curt Schilling and a stingy bullpen shut down Colorado in Game 2.

Relying more on guile than pure gas, Schilling pitched Boston to a 2-1 victory Thursday night and a 2-0 lead in the World Series over the suddenly stagnant Rockies. More here

A very important moment or milestone was past yesterday ... I bought the Diva....drumroll here ... a training bra.

Gasp, I know you want to...I did.

What she actually got was no more than a shortened tee shirt with elastic on the bottom. Purchased courtesy of Old Navy.....but it was like buying her front row Hannah Montana tickets. She is growing up...not too fast...she still needs to cuddle with her Mom when she goes to sleep.

HOW TO AVOID BEING SAD

I found these tips while I was reading "Mr. Big's" blog today.

Try not to gossip, it's icky.....take a walk everyday.....watch birds, they make you smile.....believe in things like fate and luck and love and heaven and good.....smell good.....work with point and purpose and love in your heart....eat delicious food.....take naps....always maintain between one and three totally harmless crushes.....take time to occasionally look up at the stars....try to avoid impossible love wherever you can....forgive, life is an easier journey without all that baggage to carry....avoid cynical people...don't weigh yourself.....smile a lot....give sincere compliments....notice how much you are loved...and finally....stay at The Chateau Marmont at least once in your life, it's near impossible to stay sad very long here
